Alto Vs Tenor Sax

There are two main differences between an alto and a tenor saxophone: their size and tone. The alto sax is smaller and lighter, and is nearly always in the key of Eb, whereas the larger tenor sax is in the key of Bb. So the alto sax produces a higher, brighter sound, while the tenor sax has a deeper, more mellow tone.
