The Tony Dixon low D whistle is excellent. I did some research before purchasing, and my budget was in the sub $500 area, so this was definitely the ideal whistle for my needs. I'm still getting used to the spacing, but the tone is great, and I'm excited to have a low whistle. I purchased a standard high D Wild Whistle from McNeela music a while back, and I trust them to be a great source for legit Irish whistles and instruments with excellent service and good pricing. I am so very pleased with this beautiful instrument! I am from the United States, and I was delighted with how soon it arrived after I placed my order. Took me a little bit to get used to after only having played a high D whistle previously, but I would say I'm just as proficient in both my high and low D whistles after just a couple months. It makes me so happy to amaze my friends with its stunning tone, and to see that they really enjoy the music as much as I do.

It has a full and warm sound and, even though it is my first time playing a low D whistle, I could manage quite quickly to play a well-sounding tune.
