Love this mandolin! It is wonderful to play with a richness of sound that surprised me. I can play it for hours and it has been a godsend for me. It is beautiful to look at it. A bonus, but it is the ease of playing and the sound that are the best things about it. Thank you for the fast shipping to the Canadian prairies and excellent packaging.

Great service as there were problems with customs as I had made a mistake when providing email details but McNeela were patient and helpful. When the mandolin finally arrived the bridge was skewed so the intonation was out. As I am not very practical I was wary of doing the work myself but luckily I got it right first time. The instrument now looks and sounds great. The neck is meatier than I am used to but I gradually getting used to the difference. I would recommend this company to anyone. Bill Garbutt.

I love the look, the sounds is good, and will mellow with age and use, it projects well, and the action is wonderful. However, the neck is really thick and just under the first fret and nut it thickens drastically. It’s hard to find a capo that will fit the neck and there is no way to capo at the first fret as that increase in neck thickness pushes the capo forward onto the second fret no matter how it’s placed. If you capo like my daughter needs to at this point, try a different instrument

I am new to mandolin and can’t wait to get started! Shipping was efficient and the instrument came well packed.
